Lancaster Bonsai Society

Welcome to our web site! The club meets once a month, and in addition has special lectures, workshops or meets throughout the year. Each meeting lasts about 2 hours long and covers a topic related to Bonsai in the form of a program, a demonstration or a hands on experience. Time is always available to discuss any Bonsai related questions or problems you might have, and members are encouraged to bring in a tree for styling suggestions or just to show it off. When there is a demonstration during a meeting, the Bonsai created is sometimes raffled off to a member. Members who are culling off some of their collection will occasionally will bring in a tree to be raffled off also. These are great opportunities to build up your collection. The club has a library of books, video tapes and DVDs that are available for members to borrow. We mount a show each year, it takes place at Conestoga House during the Demuth Foundation Garden Tour in June. Annual dues entitle all members to our monthly newsletter, and also includes membership in the Potomac Bonsai Association and their monthly newsletter.
